The tank shall be tested for any leaks of that if any is detected will be made good until the tank is painted externally with rust inhibiting paint. Tank to be securely bolted.

All pipework used at the oil storage methods will likely be to B.S. 1387 hefty grade.  Joints shall be screwed, and sufficient unions have to be provided to allow easy dismantling the gear.

A 25mm diameter flame valve of the quick action lever operated dead weight kind will be set up, in the oil flow .  This will be held in the open position with way of a light gauge steel cable attached to some fusible link.  The fusible link will be mounted directly over the burner.  The warm burner oil feed pipe from the top level day tank will be warmed by an electrical tracing tape wrapped around the pipe.  The pipe will then be insulated with 25mm thick fibre glass insulation and finished with gauge 22swg galvanized steel sheet.

The supply pipe from the bulk oil storage tank into the top level day has been set up by other people but the tenderer allows for connection with the top level day tank.  The tenderer will also provide and install high power strainers along the supply pipe and the burner feed pipe.

The variety and type of supports will be kept to a minimal and their design will be such as to ease secure and guide fixing to match concrete timber or timber.

Consideration will be given when designing supports into the maintenance of desirable pipe fall along with the controlling of pipe moves to some longitudinal axial direction only.

The sub-contractor shall provide and install all steel work forming part of pipe support assemblies and will be responsible for making good any damage to contractors work associated with contractors work installation.

Pipe runs will be procured by clips connected to pipe hangers, wall brackets or trapeze kind supports.  ‘U’ bolts will not be utilized for clips without prior approval of the Engineer.

The sub-contractor will submit his entire proposal for the pipe supports to the Engineer for approval prior to any erection function starts.

All wiring between items, plant and controllers shall be implemented by the tenderer. The tenderer will provide adequate oversight to ensure that electric connections are properly made to all pieces of equipment and controls provided by himto the Project Supervisor’s / Engineer’s satisfaction.

The tenderer shall test and commission the incineration at the existence of the Engineer. The tenderer will also provide sufficient oil to last at least two (two ) hours.  The tenderer shall commission and test the incineration at the presence of the Engineer and verify the incineration is working according to the specifications set here-in and from the catalogues and manuals from the providers of he incineration. The incineration performance evaluation shall be carried out in accordance with BS3316: part 4:1987. If any defect be detected, it will be rectified and the testing process repeated into the Project Manager’s satisfaction.

Proceed and secure and install as below;

The tenderer shall provide hydrostatic oil contents estimate (level indicator) or a
•    Test pressure
(v)     50mm diameter provide pipe
(iv)    50mm diameter gauging link with lockable cap.
•    Maximum allowable working stress
•    Manufacturer’s name of trade mark
The chimney shall be lined with castable grade diatomaceous concrete blended with high alumina cement in line with BS 4076: 1989.

The damper will control the closing of the door to not less than 85%.  The pile is to allow fresh air in the stock’s foundation so the flue gases are discharged at no move then 4000 C and the discharge conforms to the British Clean Air Act, the National Environment Management Agency (NEMA) Act or other important acts. .

The sub-contractor shall provide equipment that are acceptable for running on a 415V, 3 phase, 50HZ or 240V, single stage, 50HZ electrical power supply.

The system will include a bulk oil storage tank, every day tank, transfer hand gas pump and associated pipe work.  Oil from the bulk storage tank is going to be delivered into a top level daily tank situated from the incineration space using a transfer handheld and automatic pump.

The tenderer will be to submit with his tender a list of recommended initial stock of spares with their prices.  A part from the burner arranges mentioned here below, the spares prices are not to be included in the main overview of prices schedule but is to be independent and therefore are intended to be ordered later if and when it becomes necessary and convenient to the customer.  The burner spares whose prices are to be included in the main overview of prices schedule (BQ) are:-

I)     1No. Set of security controls
Full with anti-siphoning apparatus.

The following information shall be permanently and clearly marked on the tank the
Centre line near the socket connection.

•    Gross capacity in litres
•    Date of test
iii)    1No. Oil ignition method
•    Year of manufacture
Photo-electric cells

Two collections of operating and maintenance manuals (both for the incineration and burners) should also be provided. This include two sets of control diagrams for all the wiring and controls.

The works will include supply, delivery, assembling, erection, testing, commissioning and setting to work.  It’s to be located adjacent to the incineration and boiler house.

The tank shall be mounted with dished end and be built of 6mm thick block light steel plates in accordance with BS 1966.  Number 1 quality galvanised materials will not be used.Welded construction parts will likely be sprayed.

The tank will be pressure tested with a total head of water or equivalent, measured from the bottom of the tank, and equivalent to 11/2 times the sum of:

(I)     The height of the tank and also
Solenoid valve
(ii)    The design head above the surface of the tank that is 3.5m of water.

The pressure will be increased slowly and steadily before the specified test pressure is attained and that pressure will be maintained for a period long enough to permit a thorough evaluation to be made to ensure that the tank is solid enough and reveals no flows or undue distortion.  Welded joints shall be radiographed and a certificate issued.  If any defects be found, they will be made good and also the evaluation process repeated until the tank is certified to be noise.  The tests will be carried out from the presence of the Engineer and then, the sub-contractor will provide the Engineer with the test certificate.

The tank shall then be cleaned externally and provided with rust inhibiting primer before implementing 2No. Coats of bituminous paint.  The inside shall also be cleaned and purged of any foreign matter before setting to work.

Ladders and platforms will be completely cleaned and freed from rust and scale and painted with a priming coat of approved paint.

The tank shall be provided with the following:-

(I)    450mm bolted review covers liquid and vapour tight combined created out of a gasket of gasoline resistant substances.

The tenderer shall test and commission the incineration in the presence of the Engineer. The tenderer shall also provide sufficient oil to last at least two (2) hours.  The tenderer shall test and commission the incineration in the presence of the Engineer and verify that the incineration is functioning according to the specifications laid here-in and in the catalogues and manuals from the suppliers of he incineration. The incineration performance test shall be carried out in accordance to BS3316: part 4:1987.Should any defect be detected, it shall be rectified and the testing process repeated to the Project Manager’s satisfaction.
