A1) Technical Specification: Incinerators

 

All kinds of diesel fired incinerations suitable for HCW might be provided as long as they may safely treat medical

waste. The equipment should be compliant with all requirements for setup in Kenya. All elements for

setup has to be included.

 

Technical test will consider the entire system including the treatment plant. It’ll be the duty of

the Bidder to provide a complete system, including all necessary secondary systems or additional equipment.

 

The calorific value of the generated waste from the healthcare facilities is different from 5,000 kJ/kg (e.g. pathological

waste) around 40,000 kJ/kg (filled showy boxes) with an expected average heating value of waste of 14,000 kJ/kg.

 

An accepted plant has to have four different sections which demonstrate three fundamentals of Turbulence, Residence Time and

Temperature inbuilt from the plant design .The regulated segments might include but not limited to:
